This research is based on the following matters: (1) one of the missions that carried the University of Education Indonesia (UPI) as a college with a vision to become the University's Pioneer and superior (A Leading and Outstanding University), is to develop theories of education and other innovative science and its application to become a cornerstone in the determination of the national education policy; (2) a course of education Sociology FPIPS UPI, aimed at scoring a sociology teacher candidates who are professionals in their field, consider the important application of the model Portfolio learning in Courses of study and Learning of sociology, social care penumbuhkembangan to the student; (3) Through a learning focus concentrated on the physical aspects of the students in active, intellectual, social, mental, emotional and spiritual, are expected to menumbuhkembangkan social care within the student, as a provision in its action to be social beings who are expected in society in the future.
