Welf Schiefer, Jahrgang 1980, begann seine künstlerische Karriere mit Streetart, bevor er 2003 sein Grafik-Design-Studium an der Hildesheimer Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaft und Kunst aufnahm. Er studierte bei Bernd Frank (Plakatgestaltung) und bei Paul Kunofski die Druck-Techniken der Lithografie, Serigrafie, Linolschnitt und Radierung. Schiefer nennt Max Ernst, George Grosz und Otto Dix seine Vorbilder.

Mit seinem kritisch-ironischen Zeichenstil und seiner Liebe zum schelmischen Detail gibt es für den Betrachter immer wieder etwas Neues zu entdecken. Er lebt und arbeitet als freischaffender Künstler - mit dem Schwerpunkt Radierung - in Hannover.
