2.4. In vitro digestion of Cry1Ab/Ac proteinThe concentrations of the Cry1Ab/Ac protein in simulated gastric fluid (SGF) orsimulated intestinal fluid (SIF) (Sigma, USA) were 0.25 mg mL1 or 0.1 mg mL1,respectively. The mixture was incubated at 37 C and the samples were taken outat intervals of 0 s, 15 s, 30 s, 60 s, 2 min, 5 min, 10 min, 20 min, and 30 min. Accordingto the results of SDS–PAGE and Western Blot, the stability of the protein to bedigested in SGF/SIF was observed. The experiments were also done for positive controlsoybean trypsin inhibitor (STI) and negative control bovine serum albumin(BSA) or a-casein for SGF or SIF, respectively, as the method above (Lu et al., 2007).
