วิทยานิพนธ์นี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์ ๓ ประการ คือ ๑) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน สาระการเรียนรู้พระพุทธศาสนา ๒) เพื่อศึกษาความพึงพอใจของนักเรียน ที่มีต่อการเรียนโดยใช้หนังสือนิทานประกอบภาพการ์ตูนสี ๓) เพื่อหาประสิทธิภาพของหนังสือนิทานประกอบภาพการ์ตูนสี ตามเกณฑ์มาตรฐาน ๘๐/๘๐
