Genetic Cognitive Theory of Chomsky
Same with Piaget, Chomsky also never make introductions on the theory of language acquisition and learning in particular. Because, linguistic theory introduced (1957, 1965, 1968) as well as articles on the book Skinner ("Verbal Behavior", 1957) in the language (1959) has changed drastically developmental psycholinguistics, can be deduced from the theory of generative transformation known as cognitive genetic theory. These theories are grouped into groups of cognitive theory because this theory emphasizes the brain (intellect, and mental) as a cornerstone in the process of pemorelahan and learning languages.
In this theory Chomsky oppose habituation theory operands in language acquisition described by Skinner. According, to him, it is useless to explain the process of language acquisition without actually knowing the language well as objects acquired.
Genetic-cognitive theory in grounded on one hypothesis, called the hypothesis of conscience (the innateness hypothesist). This hypothesis explains that the human brain is genetically prepared to speak. The human brain is equipped with a universal language structure or the so-called language acquisition device (LAD).
