It is essential to check a software product meticulously after it has been developed. Accordingly, it is reasonable to ask why there is no testing phase after the product has been
implemented.
Unfortunately, checking a software product once it is ready to be delivered to the client
is far too late. For instance, if there is a fault in the specifi cation document, this fault will
have been carried forward into the design and implementation. There are times in the process
when testing is carried out almost to the total exclusion of other activities. This occurs toward
the end of each phase (verification) and is especially true before the product is handed
over to the client (validation). Although there are times when testing predominates, there
should never be times when no testing is being performed. If testing is treated as a separate
testing phase, then there is a very real danger that testing will not be carried out constantly
throughout every phase of the product development and maintenance process.

Nó là điều cần thiết để kiểm tra một sản phẩm phần mềm một cách tỉ mỉ sau khi nó đã được phát triển. Theo đó, nó là hợp lý để hỏi tại sao không có giai đoạn thử nghiệm sau khi sản phẩm đã được
thực hiện.
Thật không may, kiểm tra một sản phẩm phần mềm khi nó đã sẵn sàng để được chuyển giao cho khách hàng
là quá muộn. Ví dụ, nếu có một lỗi trong tài liệu cation specifi, lỗi này sẽ
được chuyển vào trong thiết kế và thực hiện. Có lần trong quá trình
khi thử nghiệm được thực hiện gần như đến tổng loại trừ các hoạt động khác. Điều này xảy ra về phía
cuối mỗi giai đoạn (xác minh) và đặc biệt đúng trước khi sản phẩm được giao
trên cho khách hàng (xác nhận). Mặc dù có những lúc thử nghiệm là chủ yếu, có
bao giờ nên có những lúc không có thử nghiệm đang được thực hiện. Nếu thử nghiệm được coi là một phần riêng biệt
giai đoạn thử nghiệm, sau đó có một nguy cơ rất thực tế rằng xét nghiệm sẽ không được thực hiện liên tục
trong suốt mọi giai đoạn của quá trình phát triển sản phẩm và bảo trì.
