Just 15 minutes before the end of his 12-hour shift, there was a chemical explosion – robbing Ken Woodward of his eyesight forever. Though the incident happened in an instant at the soft-drink bottling plant where he worked more than two decades ago, the lasting effect on now safety consultant Woodward’s life cannot be overstated.
