คณะทูตประเทศสมาชิก OIC ประจำประเทศไทย เยือนชายแดนภาคใต้

เมื่อวันที่ ๒๓-๒๔ พฤษภาคม ๒๕๕๘ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ
ได้นำคณะทูตและผู้แทนประเทศสมาชิกองค์การความร่วมมืออิสลาม หรือ
Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) ประจำประเทศไทย
เยือนจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ โดยมีนายนภดล เทพพิทักษ์
รองปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เป็นหัวหน้าคณะ และมีคณะทูตประเทศสมาชิก OIC ประจำประเทศไทย ประกอบด้วย เอกอัครราชทูต อุปทูต และผู้แทน รวม ๑๕ ประเทศ โครงการดังกล่าวมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อให้คณะทูตประเทศสมาชิก OIC ประจำประเทศไทย

ได้สัมผัสกับ ความเป็นไปในพื้นที่ และรับทราบข้อเท็จจริง และความคืบหน้า ในการดำเนินการของรัฐบาลในการแก้ไขปัญหาใน ๓ จังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ ที่มีแนวโน้มในทางที่ดีขึ้น

ในวันที่ ๒๓ พฤษภาคม ๒๕๕๘ คณะทูตและผู้แทนประเทศสมาชิก OIC ประจำประเทศไทยเดินทางเยือนพื้นที่จังหวัดปัตตานี โดยได้รับการต้อนรับจาก พลโทปราการ ชลยุทธ แม่ทัพภาคที่ ๔ และผู้อำนวยการรักษาความมั่นคงภายในราชอาณาจักรภาค ๔ และนายภาณุ อุทัยรัตน์ เลขาธิการศูนย์อำนวยการบริหารจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ (ศอ.บต.) ทั้งนี้ คณะฯ ได้รับฟัง การบรรยายสรุป เกี่ยวกับการดำเนินงาน ด้านมาตรการรักษาความปลอดภัย และแนวทางการพัฒนาพื้นที่ จากหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง พร้อมทั้งเยี่ยมชม เวทีชาวบ้านกัมปงตักวา ซึ่งนำหลักศาสนามาพัฒนาชุมชนให้เข้มแข็ง ที่โรงเรียนปอเนาะศาลาฟี อำเภอทุ่งยางแดง จังหวัดปัตตานี จากนั้น คณะฯ เดินทางต่อไปยังจังหวัดยะลา เพื่อเยี่ยมชมศูนย์พิทักษ์สันติ และศูนย์พิสูจน์หลักฐาน ๑๐ ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของศูนย์ปฏิบัติการตำรวจจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ จังหวัดยะลา โดยคณะฯ ได้รับทราบข้อมูล และเห็นขั้นตอนการดำเนินงาน
