หน้าที่และความรับผิดชอบ ปฏิบัติงานขั้นต้นเกี่ยวกับการพัฒนาชุมชนภายใต้การกำกับตรวจสอบโดยใกล้ชิด และปฏิบัติหน้าที่อื่นตามที่ได้รับมอบหมาย
ลักษณะงานที่ปฏิบัติ เป็นเจ้าหน้าที่ชั้นต้นปฏิบัติงานที่ยากพอสมควรเกี่ยวกับการพัฒนาชุมชน โดยปฏิบัติหน้าที่อย่างใดอย่างหนึ่งหรือหลายอย่าง เช่น สำรวจข้อมูลเบื้องต้นในเขตพัฒนาชุมชนเพื่อจัดทำแผนงาน ดำเนินการและนับสนุนให้มีการรวมกลุ่มของประชาชนประเภทต่าง ๆ แสวงหาผู้นำท้องถิ่น เป็นผู้นำและเป็นที่ปรึกษากลุ่มในการพัฒนาชุมชน ดูแลส่งเสริมประชาชนให้มีความสนใจ ความเข้าใจและความคิดริเริ่มในการพัฒนาชุมชนในท้องถิ่นของตน ร่วมทำงานพัฒนากับประชาชนในท้องถิ่นอย่างใกล้ชิด ให้คำแนะนำและ ฝึกอบรมประชาชนในท้องถิ่นตามวิธีการและหลักการพัฒนาชุมชน เพื่อเพิ่มผลผลิตและเพิ่มรายได้ต่อครอบครัวในด้านการเกษตรและอุตสาหกรรมในครัวเรือน อำนวยความสะดวกและประสานงานกับหน่วยงานอื่น ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องเพื่อช่วยเหลือประชาชนในท้องถิ่นทุรกันดาร ติดตามผลงานและจัดทำรายงานต่าง ๆ เป็นต้น และปฏิบัติหน้าที่อื่นที่เกี่ยวข้อง

• ได้รับปริญญาตรี หรือเทียบเท่าได้ไม่ต่ำกว่านี้ทุกสาขา ที่ ก . พ . ก . ค . หรือ ก . อบต . รับรอง หรือ
• ได้รับประกาศนียบัตรชั้นสูงบัณฑิตอาสาสมัคร
