Одна из характерных черт современного этапа развития человечества –
усиливающая глобализация. Процесс глобализации по-разному понимается
и оценивается в различных странах, разными социальными группами и
исследователями. Одни подчеркивают его позитивные стороны, полагают,
что объективная цель глобализации – единство и устойчивость цивилизации,
победа над бедностью, ослабление дифференциации стран и общественных
слоев по уровню благосостояния, устранение преград в распространении
научно-технических инноваций, совместные усилия всех стран в области
охраны окружающей среды и пр. Другие убеждены, что глобализация
влечет усиление дифференциации внутри стран и между странами, власти
транснациональных корпораций, манипулирование массовым сознанием,
навязывание всему миру стандартов и стереотипов, выгодных крупному
бизнесу, утрату культурного разнообразия и экономической самостоятельности
за пределами этих стран.
В настоящее время перед Новыми независимыми государствами (ННГ)
остро стоит проблема интеграции в мировые экономические структуры.
Вступление в ВТО рассматривается правительствами стран региона в качестве
важнейшего условия расширения участия в международном разделении труда,
развития торговли и привлечения инвестиций, ускорению развития.
