Data analysis
Data were tested for normality and homogeneity (Komolgorov –
Smirnov and Cochran C). When the data were normal and homoge-
neous Student t or Tukey test was used. In the specific cases of the
reproductive system, the Chi-square test (2) was used. When the
data were nonparametric Mann – Whitney (U) or Kruskal – Wallis
(H) tests were applied. The relationships of variables were tested
by linear regression (r) and Spearman correlation (rs).
Phenological data were analyzed using circular distribution, the
Rayleigh test (Z), which allows to calculate the concentration of
each phenological event and to test uniformity of its distribution
(Zar, 1996).
