Infectious diseases until now still includes the type of disease that is almost always the top ranks in developing countries including Indonesia, one treatment is done to treat the infection was given antibiotics. Currently the antibiotic most widely prescribed to patients in health facilities including clinics and patients given antibiotics with no indication of getting infected. Improper use can lead to resistance and treatment is not rational. The purpose of this research is to know the patterns of prescribing antibiotics in outpatient Clinics Purwosari.This research is descriptive research of non-experimental data taken retrospectively from January – December 2014. Data retrieval using simple random sampling, data namely recipes containing antibiotics. Prescribing is analyzed based on the number of antibiotics prescribed according to chemical structure, the form of the material. Assessment of the appropriateness of using the guidelines basic treatment clinics in 2007 and 2001 examined the WHO guideline based on appropriate indications, right patient, right drug, right dose, right frequency, duration and precise. The research results obtained as many as 400 recipes got antibiotics, with the most widely prescribed antibiotics i.e. 49,35% amoksisilin, the most abundant form of preparations namely tablet 80,87%. Accuracy of indication of 60,05%, the right medication, right patient 66.53% 100% 74,23% dose, right, right frequency 87,12%, and exactly the duration of 0%.
