كما يرى جلاسر أنه كلما قلت المسؤولية أصبح سلوك الفرد أكثر اتجاه نحو الخطأ . وفى الإسلام فإن المسؤولية الاجتماعية تنبع من أصول التشريع الإسلامي من القران الكريم والسنة النبوية الشريفة ويظهر ذلك في قوله تعالى "وَلَا تَقْفُ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ ۚ إِنَّ السَّمْعَ وَالْبَصَرَ وَالْفُؤَادَ كُلُّ أُولَٰئِكَ كَانَ عَنْهُ مَسْئُولًا "﴿الإسراء آيه36) وكما جاء في الهدي النبوي قول الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم "كلكم راعٍ وكلكم مسئول“ عن رعيته وبذلك تتحدد المسئولية فيما أمرنا الله ورسوله , وانطلاقاً من كل ما سبق سيقوم الباحث بعمل برنامج قائم على نظرية الاختيار في تعديل اتجاه العزو السببى لتنمية المسؤولية الاجتماعية لطلاب كلية التربية , ويأمل الباحث أن تكون هذه الدراسة لبنة في ميدان الاهتمام بتنمية المسؤولية الاجتماعية لطلاب جامعتنا" (النجاري، 2002: 104) .
