Freightways reported a higher first-half net profit, boosted by a record performance in its express package and information management businesses.
Net profit attributable to shareholders rose three percent to US$18 million in the six months to December 31, the company said, reported Dow Jones Newswires.
Consolidated operating revenue totalled $180.8 million, up six percent.
Looking ahead, the company said it expects the "positive growth evident in this half year result to continue for the foreseeable future".
It also said it would continue to seek out and develop growth opportunities, including acquisitions and alliances that complement its core capabilities.
