In thiswork,anoveltemplate-assistedsolvothermalmethod(TASTM)wasusedtopreparecobaltferrite(CoFe2O4) magnetic fiber nanomaterial.Cotton fibers (CF)wereusedastemplateandFe(NO3)3 9H2O, Co(NO3)2 6H2O asFeandCosourcesandEtOHasthesolvent.XRDresultindicatesthatthesampleissinglephase ofCoFe2O4 with thespinel-typestructure.SEMandTEMresultsrevealthatthesampleishollowfibers andthewallisporous.Themagneticmeasurementsresultdemonstratesthatthesampleshowsenhanced magneticproperty.TheseexperimentalresultssuggestthatthetemplateCFplayanimportantrole intheformation,crystallinestructure,morphologyandmagneticpropertyofCoFe2O4. Thesynthesisis simple,low-costandenvironment-friendly.
