Olá, meu nome é Pedro Affonso de Moraes Guardia, sou brasileiro, tenho 15 anos, farei 16 em 26 de fevereiro de 2016. Sou filho único, minha mãe se chama Bettina, tem 43 anos e é psicoterapeuta, meu pai se chama Rodrigo, tem 49 anos e é empresário industrial do ramo da borracha. Moro na cidade de São Paulo. A população da minha cidade é de 11.967.825 habitantes. O bairro que moro é bem tranquilo, onde tem tudo bem próximo de casa, como minha escola, meu clube onde pratico vários esportes, cinema, shopping e muitos restaurantes.
Na minha casa moram eu, meus pais e meu cachorro Scooby, um poodle de 11 anos que é muito fofo... nosso mascote e amigo para todas as horas. Somos todos muito companheiros e fazemos muitas atividades juntos e com amigos. Toda a família é muito unida, avós, tios, primos e amigos.
Quanto a minha personalidade, sou um pouco tímido mas depois que conheço a pessoa melhor, me “solto” e acabo me tornando bastante falante. Sou um bom amigo, fiel e companheiro, tenho amizades desde meus primeiros anos de vida... Consideram-me uma pessoa engraçada, pois faço algumas imitações de pessoas famosas no Brasil. Sou pacífico e de ritmo tranquilo no meu dia a dia. Gosto de pertencer a grupos e trocar experiências. Sou amigável e afetuoso com as pessoas.
Estudo em uma escola pequena, considerando o tamanho de minha cidade, é uma escola de ensino muito exigente, mas ao mesmo tempo muito voltada ao aperfeiçoamento de cada indivíduo. Sou muito participativo na comunidade escolar, participo de projetos de ciências, voluntariado e adoro os debates sobre diversos assuntos. Faço trabalho voluntário alfabetizando adultos de comunidades pobres que não tiveram oportunidade de estudar quando crianças.
Meus hobbies são tocar violão (estou aprendendo), culinária, andar de skate, cinema, viajar com amigos etc. Adoro musicas brasileiras, eletrônica e reggae.
Adoro esportes, não sou profissional em nenhum deles, mas pratico diariamente algum esporte. Treino quatro vezes por semana taekwondo, aos finais de semana vamos ao yatch club na represa da cidade, praticar esqui aquático, wakeboard e stand up paddle. Adoramos muito o ski na neve e praticamos duas vezes ao ano em diferentes países da América e Europa, pois no Brasil infelizmente não temos neve, temos 7000 km de praias, mas nenhuma neve para praticar nosso esporte favorito.
Nunca morei longe da minha cidade ou da minha família, mas sempre sonhei em fazer um intercâmbio internacional para aprender inglês, conhecer novas pessoas, encontrar uma família afetuosa que tivesse irmãos próximos a minha idade, pois sempre quis ter irmãos para conversar e fazer coisas junto e na verdade sendo filho único nunca vivi essa experiência. Se possível que a família praticasse meu amado ski na neve, assim eu poderia aperfeiçoar o esporte já que aqui não tenho muita oportunidade. Gostaria de levar um pouco do Brasil, da minha personalidade e novas experiências á família também.
Nunca estive na Nova Zelândia, mas me fascinou a beleza do seu país, a cultura do esporte que cultivam e a alegria das pessoas. Foi fácil escolher Queenstown como cidade para viver essa experiência, uma linda cidade que carrega o esporte da neve e da água, minhas duas praticas favoritas.

Pretendo me formar em medicina na universidade, mais especificamente cirurgião, e sei que uma experiência como o intercâmbio vai me ajudar a amadurecer meus defeitos e me ensinar muito sobre vida. Procuro nessa vivência este ano descobrir mais sobre eu mesmo e melhorar como pessoa cada vez mais e principalmente amadurecer!

The whole family is very United, grandparents, uncles, cousins and friends. As for my personality, I'm a little shy but after I know the person better, me "loose" and end up becoming quite talkative. I'm a good friend, loyal and companion, have friendships since my early years of life. Consider me a funny person, as do some imitations of famous people in Brazil. I'm peaceful and quiet rhythm in my day to day, I like to belong to groups and exchange experiences. I'm friendly and affectionate with people.
