Adalah Ir. Soekarno, seorang pemimpin pergerakan nasional, yang untuk pertama kalinya memperkenalkan konsep Pancasila sebagai nama usulan dasar negara Indonesia merdeka, dalam persidangan BPUPKI (Badan Penyelidik Usaha-usaha Persiapan Kemerdekaan Indonesia) I pada tanggal 1 Juni 1945.
Pandangan Soekarno tentang Pancasila merupakan gagasannya untuk mewadahi beragam aliran pemikiran dan kelompok pergerakan nasional pada waktu itu. Didasari semangat mempersatukan Indonesia yang luas dan majemuk, Soekarno menyerap dinamika pemikiran dan ideologi yang berkembang saat itu dalam Pancasila (ICCE, 2008:23).

IR. Soekarno, a leader of the national movement, which for the first time introduced the concept of Pancasila as the name of the basic proposal of the independent country of Indonesia, in the trial of BPUPKI (Agency Investigator Independence efforts Indonesia) I on 1 June 1945. Sukarno's views about the idea is Pancasila to accomodate diverse schools of thought and national movement at that time. Based on the spirit of uniting a wide and pluralist Indonesia, Sukarno absorbs the dynamics of thought and ideology that developed in the time of Pancasila (ICCE 2008:23).
