The analysis focuses on a particular area of the Italian capital market, the financial sector. This sector, normally excluded by researchers on account of its particular characteristics, is the subject of our paper because of the fact that the financial industry is one of the most knowledge-intensive industries (Pulic, 1998, 2000; Mavridis, 2004; Goh, 2005).




Our findings fully confirm the existence of a positive relationship between accounting values and market value on the one hand and IC components and market value on the other. In detail, the research provides evidence that the impact of human capital on firm performance became relevant only when it interacted with the other IC components (human, organizational and relational capital).

Analisis ini berfokus pada area tertentu dari pasar modal Italia, sektor keuangan. Sektor ini, biasanya dikeluarkan oleh para peneliti karena karakteristik tertentu, adalah subjek dari kertas kami karena fakta bahwa industri keuangan adalah salah satu industri yang paling pengetahuan intensif (Pulic, 1998, 2000; Mavridis, 2004; Goh, 2005). Temuan kami sepenuhnya con fi rm adanya hubungan positif antara nilai akuntansi dan nilai pasar di satu sisi dan komponen IC dan nilai pasar di sisi lain. Secara rinci, penelitian tersebut memberikan bukti bahwa dampak dari modal manusia pada kinerja fi rm menjadi relevan hanya jika berinteraksi dengan komponen IC lainnya (manusia, organisasi dan modal relasional).
