นายกรัฐมนตรีขึ้นแถลงการณ์วันนี้,ว่าตนเองไม่ได้ยึดติดแต่อย่างใดและพร้อมลาออก แต่ยังไม่เห็นทางการคืนอำนาจให้กับประชาชนตามที่มีการเรียกร้องภายใต้รัฐธรรมนูญปัจจุบันได้ พร้อมย้ำจุดยืนจะไม่ใช้ความรุนแรงกับประชาชนเหมือนเหตุการณ์ในอดีต และเปิดช่องทางเพื่อเจรจาตลอดเวลา
กล่าวว่าสถานที่ราชการยังเปิดทำการตามปกติ
