C. you can practice this by looking at people in public places and giving yourself different parts of the face to look at. on one day, you made consentrate on faces, another day on eyebrows, another day on ears, or general head shapes, etc. you will be surprised to find that each part of each face varies enormously from person to person, and that your increasingly ability to notice difference will help you remind you of the new people you meet.
D. to help you ever further, you can use this way of remembering names when being introduced. if it is appreciate, ask for the name to be repeated, and then use it politely in the conversation you have. it is far more polite to use the names of the person you have just met than to refer to them as "you" or "he" or "she" when talking.
E. Another good idea is to ask about the meaning of the person's surname. most people have some knowledge of, or are interested in, the meaning of their names and are happy to talk about it. during the conversation, if there is anything unusual about either the face or the name, try to link it with something else that will help you to remember. the advantage of this is that the more successful you become at remembering names, the more confident and happier you will be about meeting new people.
