Tetapi disebalik kemudahan itu terdapat kelemahan pada sistem ini disebabkan punch card ini mudah dibawa dan ringkas ia bermaksud orang lain boleh membawa punch card orang lain dan menolong punch card kawan yang lain walaupun kawan itu tidak hadir, selain itu juga punch card ini mudah rosak apabila terkena air jadi punch card ini tidak akan dapat dipakai lagi dan perlu digantikan dengan yang baru memyebabkan pihak akauntan susah untuk membuat rujukan bagi pembayaran gaji pada hujung bulan.
