วัดหัวข่วง ตั้งอยู่บนถนนมหาพรหม ตำบลในเวียง อำเภอเมืองน่าน เป็นวัดที่มีความสำคัญในเขตหัวแหวนเมืองน่าตั้งอยู่ใกล้หอคำ หรือพิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติน่าน มีวิหาร และเจดีย์ มีลักษณะศิลปกรรมแบบท้องถิ่นล้านนา สกุลช่างเมืองน่านฝีมือประณีตงดงาม วัดนี้ไม่ปรากฏว่าสร้างมาตั้งแต่สมัยใด มีเพียงหลักฐานว่าได้รับการบูรณะในราว พ.ศ. 2425โดยเจ้าอนันตวรฤทธิเดช เจ้าเมืองน่าน และต่อมาราวปี พ.ศ.2472 ในสมัยเจ้ามหาพรหมสุรธาดา เจ้าผู้ครองน่าน องค์สุดท้าย ซึ่งต่อมาเมื่อเดือนกรกฎาคม พ.ศ.2533 กรมศิลปากรได้ส่งเจ้าหน้าที่มาบูรณะเจดีย์วัดหัวข่วงและได้ประกาศเป็นโบราณสถานของชาติ
