Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism (RET)

The Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism (RET) provides advice and policy support to the Australian Government regarding Australia’s resources, energy and tourism sectors. Its tourism division administers a number of tourism development programs, including competitive funding programs such as TQUAL. The Department is also responsible for the development of the National Long Term Tourism Strategy (NLTTS) and facilitating the delivery of strategy actions with State and Territory
Tourism NSW is a branch of New South Wales’ Department of Industry and Investment. It aims to increase the number of domestic and international visitors to New South Wales, and to boost economic growth for NSW as a result.
