เนื่องจากมีการร้องเรียนของชุมชนเกี่ยวกับเรื่องสิ่งแวดล้อม ทางเทศบาลได้เข้ามาตรวจสอบและพบว่าสาเหตุหลักของกลิ่นรุนแรงเกิดจากตู้คอนเทนเนอร์ที่บรรจุสินค้าประเภทหนังสัตว์ ถึงแม้ว่าจะมีการบำบัดก่อนปล่อยน้ำเสียลงสู่ธรรมชาติ แต่กลิ่นที่คงค้างทำให้เกิดปัญหาต่อชุมชน จึงมีคำสั่งให้ปฎิเสธการรับตู้ทีี่บรรจุสินค้าประเภทนี้ จากวันที่ 25 มิถุนายน 2558 เป็นต้นไป
