Feelings and Self-awareness in Making Sense of Experience
Teachers and students placed value on the affective element of reflection.
This was strongly represented in interviews. Students
expressed the requirement to reflect on feelings in order to analyse
and understand an experience. They tried to separate feelings and
thinking in order to critically reflect on them, but like teachers they
recognized that the two intermingled. Similarly, teachers talked
